The OPP is investigating a pedestrian hit and run in Orillia. At around 9:30pm on Friday, police were contacted about a truck that crashed on Front Street South. When officers arrived they found that a truck hit a woman while she was walking on the sidewalk. The truck involved failed to remain on scene and was last seen turning south on to Gill Street. The 55-year-old woman from Orillia was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle is described as white or beige, midsize, two-door, and a pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
