A fight during a dance at the South River arena has led to charges. Almaguin Highlands OPP was called to Montreal Street around 2:00am Sunday morning to investigate an assault on a man that left him unconscious. Police say the accused and the victim had got into a fight at the arena during the dance and the accused was told to leave. At around 2:00am in the morning, the victim and his girlfriend were walking home when the accused came up and assaulted the victim again. Officers arrested the 37-year-old man from South River and charged him with assault and assault causing bodily harm. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
