In partnership with the six municipalities in Muskoka, the District of Muskoka has created an area-specific job board, which features an interactive map.
The website is broken down by Bracebridge, Georgian Bay, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Lake of Bays, and Muskoka Lakes as well as the smaller communities within those municipalities. The listings can also be searched by job type and industry.
District officials explain the board is populated from over 30 job sites.
The board was made possible thanks to funding through the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Rural Economic Development program.
The funding was announced in April 2023.
“It’s no secret there are challenges finding workers in some important industries across Ontario, and Muskoka is no exception,” said District Chair Jeff Lehman at the time. “This funding allows us to launch a collaborative effort with our area municipalities to address these challenges and help Muskoka residents and businesses find work and workers.”
