One person is seriously injured after an early-morning fire in Utterson.
The Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department says firefighters responded to a structure fire on Mainhood Rd. around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials say while two occupants and a dog were evacuated from the building, one occupant sustained serious injuries and was taken to a trauma centre.
The department is reminding residents to make sure their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are in working condition, and to contact them at 705-789-5201 with any questions about the process.
Total damage is estimated at $700,000, and the fire is under investigation.
