Huntsville releases survey ahead of strategic plan

Huntsville is asking residents to sound off on its upcoming strategic plan.

The town has released a survey to hear what matters to people around town. Officials say it’ll guide council, plans, and the budget for years to come.

“We know Huntsville is a diverse community and what matters most differs from person to person. That’s why it’s so important that residents take the time to complete the community survey,” says Reva Frame, Director of Corporate and Community Strategy. “We want our Strategic Plan to represent all of Huntsville; tell us what matters most to you. We are listening.”

The town asks residents to help spread word about the survey, as more responses help the plan better reflect the needs of the community.

The survey is open until Aug. 25 at the town’s website. Town staff will also hold pop ups at:

  • Shoppers Drug Mart: Aug. 5, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Town Dock Park (Movie on the Docks): Aug. 5, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Port Sydney Dam (Rubber Duck Race): 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Physical copies of the survey will be available at those pop ups, as well as Town Hall, the Canada Summit Centre, and Huntsville Public Library.
