Bracebridge has opened annual applications for its two grant programs.
The Community Grant Program goes to non-profits and other community organizations that “provide beneficial projects and services” within the town. Criteria include the organization’s mission, volunteer participation, other sources of revenue, how the funds will be used, and relevance to Bracebridge.
The Event Tourism Grant covers 33 per cent of an event’s budget up to $5,000 and goes towards festivals and events hosted within the town next year. Town officials say to qualify, events will need to have a positive impact and economic return, as well as be in line with the town’s tourism pillars of “taste, create and live.”
