Police investigating vandalism at Macaulay Public School

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is trying to find out who is behind the graffiti that was scrawled across the walls and windows at Macaulay Public School in Bracebridge.

“Bracebridge OPP is asking those involved to please stop damaging our schools and minds of the younger generation,” wrote Provincial Constable Taryn Molnar in a social media post.

The graffiti features drawings of crude images and phrases like “dope,” “weed for life,” and “vapes for kids.” The images were on a few of the school’s walls as well as a window.

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call the Bracebridge detachment of the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

It’s not the first time this summer that a Bracebridge school has dealt with vandalism. In June, “leave the children alone” was tagged on the side of a shed at Monck Public School.
