Separate fires saw a car go up in smoke and seven people displaced from their home.
At 4 p.m. Sunday, the Muskoka Lakes Fire Department was called to a structure fire on Scarcliffe Rd. in Port Carling.
According to a social media post by the fire department, the fire was contained to one room and no one was injured. However, an estimated $20,000 in damage was done to the home and seven people are now considered by the department to be displaced.
Today at 4pm firefighters from Port Carling, Milford Bay and Glen Orchard attended a structure fire on Scarcliffe Rd. Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the room of origin quickly. No one was injured in the fire.
Also Sunday, the department was called to a vehicle fire on Torrance Rd. in Muskoka Lakes. Firefighters were gone in 30 minutes and no one was injured.
In another social media post, fire officials say the department used foam to suppress the fire and limit damage to the nearby kegs.

Investigations into the cause of both fires are ongoing.
