A fatal crash between a train and a vehicle near Winhara Rd. in Gravenhurst has left one person dead.
Provincial Const. Samantha Bigley says the Gravenhurst Fire Department was called to the scene to help get into the vehicle. Bigley says the only person inside was a 55-year-old from Bracebridge. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
She explains police were called to the scene by a concerned resident just before 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Winhara between Jones and Crawford Rd. was closed for close to three hours while police were on scene investigating.
