The Bracebridge Fire Department had to extract someone from their vehicle after a two-car crash on Hwy. 118 E. near Thompson Rd. in Bracebridge on Wednesday.
Provincial Const. Samantha Bigley says it happened at 5:15 p.m.
Bigley says the extracted driver was taken to a Toronto hospital with “serious, life-altering injuries” while the driver of the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Bigley adds a stretch of the highway was closed until close to 3 a.m. Thursday while police investigated.
