The Town of Bracebridge is reminding people to keep off stormwater management ponds.
Officials say the ponds are for collecting stormwater and treating pollutants, and not to be used for any recreational activities—including skating, hockey, and sledding.
They add the facilities are not monitored for ice thickness, and are unstable due to flowing water, as well as changing temperatures and water levels.
