The half-load restrictions in place throughout Muskoka will be lifted on Monday, May 6 at 12:01 a.m.
Officials with the Town of Gravenhurst explain the seasonal rules for trucks are put in place during the spring thaw to minimize damage to the road as the accumulated snow melts.
The restriction is in place from early March to around the start of May every year. Signage is placed on certain roads noting trucks that exceed five tonnes per axle are not allowed on them.
