Longest running Pro-Am Tournament raised $20,000 celebrating its 38 years in Muskoka.
That is according to Leah Walker, Executive Director of South Muskoka Hospital Foundation, who said this year’s annual Dave Ellis Pro-Am Golf Tournament brought the tournament’s total support over the years to $780,000.
“Proceeds from the event support patient care at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital through the purchase of new and replacement tools and technology, which is only possible with donor support,” Walker said.
Officials said the event was established in memory of the late Dave Ellis, a well-respected golf pro at the Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club (MLG&CC), where the annual tournament is held.
Walker said guests of the special event enjoyed a three-course dinner day of golf on the prestigious course, buffet lunch, and more.
