The Town of Bracebridge introduces grant for 150-year anniversary celebrations

The Town of Bracebridge is introducing the Bracebridge 150 Grant to support festivals and events celebrating the town’s 150th anniversary in 2025.

Officials say this new grant opportunity is exclusive for the anniversary year and will provide up to a maximum of $1,000 to eligible events. It joins the other two grants available, the Event Tourism Grant and the Community Grant Program.

“The Event Tourism Grant is an annual funding program for festivals, events, and sporting events that demonstrate a positive impact for Bracebridge, providing an economic return to the town’s tourism sector,” town officials say. “Eligible funding is not to exceed 33% of the overall event budget, up to a maximum of $5,000.”

The town says depending on event criteria, organizations may be eligible to apply for both the Event Tourism Grant and Bracebridge 150 Grant.

“The Community Grant Program demonstrates the Town’s ongoing commitment to working with organizations that provide beneficial projects and services by providing one-time funding opportunities,” officials say. “The Town of Bracebridge recognizes the valuable contributions being provided by not-for-profit organizations and other community groups to the residents of Bracebridge.”

Town officials add in 2024, the Community Grant Program distributed $17,570 to eligible organizations.

The application deadline for all three grant opportunities is Monday, September 9 at 4:30 p.m.
