UPDATE 11:42 A.M: The board says the hold and secure has been lifted.
Spruce Glen Public School in Huntsville is once again under a hold and secure because of bears in the schoolyard.
It’s the second day in a row that the Trillium Lakelands District School Board has put the school under the hold and secure.
Carolynne Bull, Manager of Communications Services says like yesterday, all students and staff are safe and the OPP has been called.
She adds in a hold and secure, exterior doors are locked and classroom routines and lessons continue. Students will not be permitted outside and cannot be signed out while a hold and secure is in place.
Yesterday, teachers escorted students one by one directly onto the bus due to the animal and transportation was slightly delayed.
Bull says anyone with concerns about their child should contact the school directly.
