The Town of Bracebridge’s Economic Development branch has been awarded with three national marketing awards from the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).
The awards were handed out on Oct. 1 at the EDAC annual meeting.
Rick Maloney, Mayor of the Town of Bracebridge says it’s an “incredible achievement” for the town’s Economic Development team.
“The Town of Bracebridge is committed to long-term economic development and growth, and through these amazing initiatives, we continue to successfully support our small businesses and vibrant tourism sector,” says Maloney.
Officials say the town won awards in three different categories.
The Brand Identity/Application category was given for the Shop the Bridge program. Officials say the program offers a unique way to support over 50 local businesses in Bracebridge, including shops, services, restaurants, and artisans.
The Website category was given for the Visit the Bridge website. Officials add the website serves as a dynamic and comprehensive platform to promote Bracebridge as a tourism destination in the Muskoka Region.
Officials say in addition to the individual awards, the town was also recognized for supporting Venture Muskoka, the regional economic development alliance that includes representation from all District of Muskoka municipalities.
The Advertising Campaign category was given for the Muskoka Job Board Digital Marketing Campaign. Officials add it is a resource to connect job seekers with employment opportunities in the District of Muskoka, which has been created as a “one-stop shop” for Muskoka employers and prospective employees.
