Some local events have been named finalists in this year’s Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence.
The Tall Pines Music and Arts Festival has been named a finalist for the Tourism Event of the Year; the Bala Cranberry Festival for the Culinary Event of the Year; and Muskoka Steamships and Discovery Centre is also a finalist for the Indigenous Tourism Award.
The local events, alongside many more across the province, will all be celebrated at this year’s Tourism Industry Association of Ontario summit, which takes place next week in Hamilton.
Officials say tourism professionals from around the province will gather to share and collaborate on topics like climate change, safety concerns, technology and more.
