A Witches Walk benefiting the Manna Foodbank all set Saturday

A costume contest, witch dance and prizes are some of the things waiting for you tomorrow (Oct. 19) at the Bracebridge 1st Witches Walk.

The event doubles as a fundraiser for the Manna Food Bank.

Tammy Calhoun, Bracebridge resident and event organizer, says the event starts at 4:30 p.m. at Nick’s Family restaurant.

“All proceeds will go to Manna Food Bank,” says Calhoun. “Food banks are always in need of donations. So, I just figured with the tough times and everything that I could do this, then we’ll have a bit of fun along the way.”

She says she attended the Gravenhurst Witch Walk for their food bank and got inspired to do it in Bracebridge.

“I’ve been in touch with the food bank, and they’re all on board,” says Calhoun. “I went to all local merchants in town for all donations for the prizes.”

She says there will also be a witch-cackling contest, a 5050, keychains for sale and more.
