Drive Muskoka raises over $31,000 for Huntsville Hospital

Drive Muskoka has raised $31,800 for lifesaving equipment for the Huntsville Hospital through its Drive For Your Hospital fundraising event.

The fundraiser, which ran during the month of August, donated $200 from each vehicle sold at Huntsville Dodge, Huntsville Honda and Hyundai of Muskoka.

Officials say each buyer had the option to choose between the Huntsville Hospital Foundation (HHF), South Muskoka Hospital Foundation and West Parry Sound Health Centre.

They say they raised a total of $40,600 across all three hospital foundations, adding $3,800 will be going to Parry Sound and $5,000 to South Muskoka.

Jeff Green, Muskoka Regional Manager at Hyundai told The Foundation they are “thrilled” to celebrate their tenth year giving back to local hospitals in the Muskoka region.

“We are simply doing our part to invest in the future healthcare of our community. We look forward to continuing this event year after year,” says Green.

According to officials, this initiative has raised over $179,800 for Huntsville Hospital since it first started in 2015.

Katherine Craine, HHF CEO says The Drive for Your Hospital Tent Event delivered again adding the enthusiasm and hard work that Drive Muskoka has is “contagious.”

“Our community has great things to look forward to with the new MRI coming and a new hospital on the horizon; it’s comforting to know that we have Drive Muskoka and their team behind us! On behalf of our community, our board, hospital staff and physicians, thank you,” says Craine.

Officials say Drive Muskoka and Huntsville Hospital Foundation are already looking forward to future partnerships that will continue to benefit the health and wellness of our community.
