Huntsville OPP is partnering up with Food4Kids Muskoka to support children and families facing food insecurity.
According to the OPP, the partnership will see officers carrying smaller versions of Food4Kids’ signature food bags in their cruisers.
Kristie Shaver, Communications Manager for Food4Kids Muskoka, says by working alongside the OPP, children and families in moments of crisis can be reached, ensuring they know they’re not alone and help if available.
The OPP says the partnership goes beyond policing – and is about building a stronger, more compassionate community together.
Food4Kids Muskoka is dedicated to eliminating childhood hunger through its Weekends Without Hunger program, providing nutritious food packages to children in need and ensuring they have access to healthy meals and snacks over the weekend.
