Santa for Seniors program looking for elves to spread Christmas cheer

The fourth annual Santa for Seniors program is underway at the Bracebridge Library.

The program sees the library partner up with The Pines Long-Term Care Home, James Street Retirement Residence, the District of Muskoka as well as the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital to bring some holiday cheer.

The Christmas tree at the library has tags on it, which features wish lists for seniors living at the facilities.

All gifts are asked to be wrapped and returned to the library by next Monday (Dec. 16).

Marketing and Communications Coordinator Mathew Reisler says the program supports seniors who may not be able to travel for the holidays or have loved ones visit, adding countless seniors have told them how much joy the program brings.

Tags to help the Manna Food Bank are available as well.
