Muskoka Tourism has achieved record growth in 2024.
The announcement was made yesterday (Dec. 9), and according to officials, next year’s plans focus on new “record-breaking marketing goals” for the region.
They add it comes after a “remarkable 2024” with the following key accomplishments:
- Over 105 million impressions—doubling the impact from 2023
- 1.3 million website sessions, up by 43 per cent (24per cent growth in international)
- A community of 113,000+ social media followers, an 8.4 per cent growth
- Welcomed 34 new members to Muskoka Tourism, a growth of 9 per cent
- $500,000+ in marketing activity (including 19 partnerships), marking a 15x growth over 2019
Val Hamilton, Executive Director of Muskoka Tourism, says the record growth is thanks to their industry partners, the District of Muskoka, and the six municipalities.
“The trust and collaboration empower us to take bold steps forward as we continue to set new benchmarks in destination marketing,” says Hamilton.
Officials say their 2025 plan focuses on increasing tourism from domestic and international markets through increased marketing and strategic partnerships and outlines key initiatives, including a $552,020 marketing budget, new pay-to-play programs, targeted seasonal campaigns and more.
“Muskoka Tourism is growing recognition as a leading Destination Marketing Organization while expanding awareness of Muskoka as a world-class destination,” say officials.
