Nearly $300,000.
That’s the combined goal for two local organizations for this year’s Coldest Night of the Year.
Gravenhurst Against Poverty has a goal of $185,000 while The Table Soup Kitchen in Huntsville has set theirs to $100,000.
Each year, hundreds of people participate in the evening, by forming teams, raising money, and walking either 2km or 5km together for a good cause.
The event takes place on Feb. 22.
With just over a month left, dozens of teams have already signed up and thousands of dollars has already been raised.
