HWY 11 North in Gravenhurst is closed for the next few hours after a multi-vehicle crash north of Luigi Rd.
That’s according to Bracebridge OPP who says officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash around 7:45 p.m. this evening (Jan. 21).
Shortly after their arrival and the arrival of a tow-truck, a third vehicle became involved as a transport truck struck one of the police vehicles.
The OPP says officers were not in the police vehicle at the time and were not injured, however the tow truck operator was transported to hospital with unconfirmed injuries.
Police share the highway will be closed for the next few hours and as there is no reasonably accessible detour for tractor trailers, motorists are asked to avoid the area.
