Ontario Chamber of Commerce surveying businesses about impact of incoming tariffs

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is preparing itself for the implementation of more tariffs by US President Donald Trump, and they want to hear from you.

An online survey has been launched to gauge how these tariffs are affecting various industries across the province and what supports or resources are needed to address the challenges they pose.

The survey, which is open until Feb. 23, can be found here: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8181397/2025-Tariff-Survey

On Feb. 10, Trump slapped 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports – including from Canada. These tariffs are scheduled to take effect March 13, and more could follow.

At 3.2 million tons last year, Canadian aluminum imports were twice the next nine countries combined.
