UPDATE: Graeme Murray Arena closed due to gas leak, repairs underway

The Graeme Murray Arena has reopened following a gas leak yesterday.

Town of Gravenhurst officials say the leak has been isolated, and repairs are expected to be completed today.

Repairs are underway after a gas leak has been identified at the Graeme Murray Arena in Gravenhurst.

As a result, Town officials say the arena will remain closed for the balance of the day, and all ice rentals are cancelled. Despite the cancellations, staff anticipate a return to normal operations tomorrow (Feb. 25). 

Officials say there is no threat to YMCA staff, patrons, or the neighboring area.
