Starting on Monday, March 10, reduced load limits will be put in place on many roads right across Muskoka.
According to the District, roads become softer and weaker during the spring thaw and heavy vehicle traffic can cause permanent damage… and the half-load restrictions reduces the potential for any unnecessary road repairs or reconstruction.
Officials say to help remind drivers; temporary signage will be put up. But, regardless of signage the restriction is ongoing.
The limit will be in place until May 31.
