The Township of Muskoka Lakes and the Windermere community are partnering up to create a new playground at the Windermere Village Park.
Mayor Peter Kelley says parks are important for establishing and maintaining the quality of life of Muskoka Lakes residents, the identity of the community, and fostering healthy lifestyles, and environments.
Officials say the space will include a new playground, more seating, landscaping and more. This project is being funded by donations raised from the community and matched by council approved budget funds.
They add that they are looking for community input and ideas of what they’d like to see in the new design.
