The Town of Gravenhurst has opened nominations for the Ontario Senior of the Year Awards 

Town of Gravenhurst has opened nominations for the Ontario Senior of the Year Awards.  

Officials say nominees must have enhanced social, cultural or civic life in the community after the age of 65. These contributions can be from multiple areas such as arts, literature, education, volunteering, humanitarian, fitness or environment.  

They add nominees must be a resident of Gravenhurst and not hold political office.  

Nominations will be accepted until April 4 at 4:30 p.m. and can be submitted HERE. 

Council will go through nominations at their meeting on April 15 and will submit one nominee to the province for consideration.

  • 2021 – Joanne Twist
