A Huntsville High School student is facing assault charges after police responded to reports of an assault at the school on Wednesday (March 19).
Police say officers responded around noon.
Officers say a student allegedly threatened and assaulted another student, who sustained injuries requiring medical care.
They add the extent of the injuries are still being determined.
Police say as a result, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:

- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats – To cause bodily harm.
The accused was released into parental custody and is scheduled to appear in court in early May.
The name of the accused is not released as per the restrictions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and to respect the privacy of the victim.
