Huntsville resident Geordie Sabbagh is the Liberal Party candidate for Parry Sound–Muskoka in the upcoming federal election.
According to his website, Sabbagh, who is originally from Edmonton, is now a small business owner and volunteer firefighter in Huntsville.
On his website he says he understands the challenges families are facing, including balancing work, rising costs, and seeking a strong future for their children.
“I’m stepping forward to fight for hardworking families and ensure our kids can achieve their dreams without leaving,” says Sabbagh. “Strong families build strong communities, and I want to make sure our region remains a place where families can afford to live, work, and thrive.”
So far there are two other names you’ll be seeing on the upcoming federal election ballot; incumbent Scott Aitchison as the Conservative Party of Canada candidate, and Isabel Pereira as the People’s Party of Canada candidate.
Several reports indicate Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to ask the Governor General to dissolve Parliament and call an election on Sunday.
