A Huntsville man is facing assault and intimidation charges after the OPP responded to a disturbance on Yonge St. last week (March 17).
Officials say last Monday, officers were dispatched after calls involving a group of men causing a disturbance, and possibly forcibly confining a woman.
According to the OPP, the investigation showed a man had assaulted the victim, and then threatened further harm if police were told what was occurring.
Police say the accused was then arrested and found to be in possession of a controlled substance, and the victim did not require medical assistance.
The 25-year-old has been charged with assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and more.
The accused has a Bracebridge court date in late April.
