YMCA to hold 11th Annual Move to Give Fundraiser

YMCA’s ‘Move to Give’ fundraiser is back for the 11th time.

Officials say during the event, participants raise funds for the organization’s community programs and services through various physical activities.

Some of the activities in Muskoka include an all-day cycle-a-thon on April 8 at the Huntsville YMCA Employment & Learning Services, and an aquafit session with a non-alcoholic Swim Up Bar on April 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gravenhurst YMCA.

Jill Tettmann, CEO of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, says the organization is looking to beat last year’s total of $130,000.

“This year, we’re challenging our supporters to help us make an even greater impact as we move to give back to our communities, together,” says Tettmann.

Kate Meeks, Senior Director of Philanthropy at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka says the organization is also looking for sponsors to support their event.

“Sponsorship is a crucial part of making this event a success,” said Meeks. “If your business or organization is looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community, consider joining us as a sponsor. Together, we can continue driving positive change in our local community.”
