The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a flood warning for the watersheds across the Township of Lake of Bays until next Friday.
The ministry says residents should expect water levels to increase, with flooding anticipated to varying degrees as a ‘significant three-day rainfall, freezing rain, snow and snow pellet event’ moves through the area.
Officials say residents and those visiting are advised to be aware of current watershed conditions, and higher than normal water levels and flows are anticipated to develop.
They’re reminding you to keep a close watch on the weather, check for updated messages regularly, and exercise caution near fast-moving rivers and streams.
