UPDATE: Some local schools to remain closed

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) will keep all schools closed tomorrow (April 1).

That includes the Virtual Learning Centre, education centres, and child care centres.

“While some areas of the Board are less impacted, many students and staff live or work in severely affected communities,” say TLDSB officials.

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) says schools in the most impacted areas will remain closed tomorrow, while the ones in the less impacted areas will be open for student learning tomorrow.

Both boards add closed schools will not be moving to online learning.

The closed SMCDSB schools tomorrow include:

  • District of Muskoka (Bracebridge & Huntsville)
  • North Zone (Midland, Penetanguishene, Orillia, Ramara, Elmvale)
  • Central Zone (Barrie, Innisfil, Angus)
  • St. Noel Chabanel (Wasaga Beach)

The open SMCDSB schools tomorrow include:

  • South Zone (Bradford, Beeton, Alliston, Tottenham)
  • Collingwood (St. Mary’s & Our Lady of the Bay)
  • Parry Sound (St. Peter the Apostle)
