As of late afternoon Monday, less than 1,500 Lakeland Power customers remain without power.
Officials say the number is down from the nearly 7,000 outages first reported.
They say their crews, along with assistance from other utility companies, are working diligently to restore power to everyone.
Officials say road accessibility remains a challenge due to fallen poles, broken wires, and tree limbs obstructing the way.
“We are reliant on power coming from Hydro One feeders, several of which are not expected to have power until tomorrow (April 1),” say officials.
