Hospice Muskoka is inviting you to take the polar plunge to raise funds for palliative care.
The plunge will take place April 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Public Docks, Port Carling. (21 West Street)
The funds raised will go towards supporting Hospice Muskoka–Andy’s House which aids in being able to offer compassionate palliative care and grief support to community members and their families.
“Hospice Muskoka provides spiritual, social, and clinical care to so many families across Muskoka and other parts as well.” Says Cailan Punnewaert Fundraiser Coordinator at Hospice Muskoka.
This is the first year Hospice Muskoka is doing a polar plunge as their chosen fundraiser and the goal is $10,000. So far, they have reached 75% of that goal.
You can register as an individual or as a group and be sponsored for your courage.
Officials say participants under 18 must bring identification and have a parent and/or guardian present to sign a liability waiver.
