With Maple Fest around the corner, downtown Huntsville is getting ready to host over 50 maple vendors.
The festival will be held on April 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Halley Clover, executive Director at Huntsville Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce, says this year they will be celebrating the seventh annual festival with live music, buskers and community partners.
“April is sort of a shoulder season, as many business owners know in our in our area, so it’s really a way that we can market our community and really showcase maple syrup and the resource that we have as a maple producing community,” says Clover.
She adds a new addition to this year’s festival is an event at Canvas Brewery on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., where people can enjoy maple cooking demonstrations, sample maple cocktails, and participate in a three-maple tasting.
Clover also says the Rotary People of Action Huntsville will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday with all proceeds supporting the Rotary’s service projects in the community.
“We have a great partnership with the Town of Huntsville, with Explore Huntsville, and with the BIA. So, we really all come together to make this festival really fantastic,” says Clover.
According to the town, the following roads will be closed for the festival:
- Main Street East, from Centre Street to Brunel Road, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
