Bracebridge councillors are set to discuss new street lighting for Bracebridge. This week they’ll look at a proposal from Lakeland Energy that would convert the town’s street lighting network to LED lights, which are considered more energy efficient. The entire project would cost just over $503,000 and would be partly funded by Ontario Power Authority’s saveONergy retrofit program. The proposal, which would see 975 street lights replaced, goes before councillors tomorrow.
