The DeZwireks make generous donation to give back to their seasonal community

The $1-million donation to the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department won’t affect any Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare board decision. That’s according to MAHC Board Chair Charles Forret.

DeZwirek says he knows MAHC will be facing some tough decisions, but his motivation to donate is to help the community today.

DeZwirek has his family have been long-time cottagers in Lake of Bays. He says they realized people who have cottages here don’t invest as much as they should in the healthcare of their seasonal communities.

The emergency care department has been renamed the DeZwirek Emergency Care Department.
