A Gravenhurst restaurant owner has been fined $25,000 for violating the provincial fire code.
The Gravenhurst Fire department were the ones who laid the initial fines on the former owner of Mike’s Bar & Grill. Fire Chief , Larry Brassard says there were several fire code infractions.
 The Ontario Fire Code was introduced to the province 20 years ago, it’s purpose is to prevent fires as well as any injuries or deaths that come with it.
