Almaguin Highlands OPP had a busy Canada long weekend patrolling roads, and lakes.
Police reported that 99 charges were laid between Saturday June 27th and Canada Day on the Wednesday. In the 99 charges some of the charges included speeding, not wearing a seat belt , distracted driving, and no proof of insurance.
Seven motor vehicle crashes were also reported. Police ran several R.I.D.E programs throughout the area as well.
