Humans definitely face some dangers when it comes to hot weather, but animals are just as sensitive to the heat.
Leaving an animal in a car in the summer can quickly lead to a life or death situation for the animal.
Bracebridge Veterinary Hospital doctor Shallen Langley says there is no good situation to leave a dog in a car.
Langley says the dog’s blood pressure will lower and organs will begin to fail, eventually leading to death.
She says even leaving a window open won’t make much of a difference.
