It may not have been a tornado, but a confirmed micro-burst still did significant damage to a government building in Algonquin Park.
The Ministry of Natural Resources Hangar was heavily damaged in the wind blast according to official Jolanta Kowalski.
Kowalski says they’re still assessing all the damage and costs.
She added there were some injuries however they were minor.
