A special visit from Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Ted McMeekin led to a lot of pressing questions from council members of the Muskoka District.
Many councilors expressed concerns with an upcoming bill that would allow the provincial Ombudsman to have a say in municipal matters.
Mayor Graydon Smith expressed his own concern over the negative feelings the current Ombudsman seems to portray when it comes to the municipal level.
McMeekin has been visiting various communities to hear these concerns and try to address them.
