Jobs are a hot button issue in Muskoka especially with some franchise stores closing their doors. Parry Sound-Muskoka candidate with the Canadian Action Party, Gordie Merton, says that providing financial benefits to small businesses could help them hire more employees.
Merton says thinking green may help with creating jobs.
Merton will be running against incumbent Conservative candidate Tony Clement, Liberal Trisha Cowie, Green Glen Hodgson, NDP Matt McCarthy, Pirate Duncan Bell and Marxist-Leninist Al Smith. The election is October 19th.
