A grant that is available in various forms to various businesses around Bracebridge is getting a lot of attention.
The Community Improvement Program was first created in 2013, when council saw a need to offer grants that would be flexible to the needs of the changing economic environment.
That grant has now seen a 200 per cent increase in applications since that time.
A business on Manitoba Street recently was approved for funding through the grant to help build an accesible ramp for their building.
Mayor Graydon Smith says he is excited to see this grant used for important issues like accessibility.
For more information on these grants you can contact the Economic Development Branch with the town.
