Local MMA Fighter Ends up Training with Georges St-Pierre

A local fighter was in the ring with a Canadian UFC champion.

On Tuesday, Huntsville native Kyle ‘The Monster’ Nelson was training in Montreal for his upcoming mixed martial arts match when he was invited to train in the ring with Canadian Georges St-Pierre, a UFC Welterweight Champion.

Nelson explains how it all happened.

Nelson says because GSP has the potential hope to make a comeback in the UFC, he was using some techniques that Nelson has seen on TV and realized it was a challenge.

He adds he got hit with a few jabs from the three-time champion.

‘The Monster’ will be heading to New Brunswick in the coming weeks where he will be inside the ring on April 23^rd.
