The fire danger rating in Muskoka has shifted from moderate to high.
Fire crews ask everyone to use extreme caution around all open flames. Small fires are permitted in all rural areas across the region and have to be no bigger than two metres in diameter.
Officials remind everyone to always have tools at hand to put out the fire, and never leave it unattended.
