A Baysville resident has received a provincial award.
The 2016 Senior of the Year has been given to Louise Garrod, a long-time resident in Baysville. She is known for having a hand in the Baysville Walkabout and is the current leader of the Baysville Community Group.
The Township of Lake of Bays recognized Garrod at its regular council meeting on Tuesday.
